PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE

A Message from the President,

On behalf of the American Correctional Chaplains Association (ACCA), I extend my heartfelt gratitude to each of you for your unwavering commitment to the calling of correctional chaplaincy.

Every day, you serve in environments that require strength, compassion, wisdom, and faith. You stand in the gap for those who are often forgotten, bringing hope where there is despair, guidance where there is uncertainty, and light into some of the most challenging circumstances. This is more than a profession—it is a calling, and your service leaves a lasting impact on individuals, families, institutions, and communities.

As we continue to grow, ACCA remains committed to strengthening and supporting correctional chaplains through professional development, meaningful partnerships, and expanded opportunities. Our vision is to ensure that every chaplain is equipped, connected, and empowered to serve with excellence.

We also recognize that growth requires unity. ACCA is not just an organization—it is a network, a resource, and a community. Whether you are a seasoned chaplain or just beginning your journey, there is a place for you here.

Join Us in Strengthening the Future of Chaplaincy

If you are not yet a member of ACCA, I invite you to become part of this growing body of professionals dedicated to advancing correctional chaplaincy. Membership provides access to:

• Professional development and training opportunities

• Networking with chaplains across the nation and internationally

• Resources to support certification and ministry effectiveness

• Opportunities to contribute to shaping standards and best practices

Together, we can elevate the role of chaplaincy within correctional systems and ensure that those who serve are supported, prepared, and recognized.

Please know that you are not serving alone. You are part of a committed and compassionate community that stands alongside you in this important work.

Thank you for your service, your sacrifice, and your dedication to the mission we share.

With sincere appreciation and expectation for what is ahead,
